A Garden Tea Party and a Beautiful Bride

This past weekend was my little sister's bridal shower, and it was a splendid affair. We had a super nice day and my older sister's lovely home as our setting. We put birds on everything and there were some extravagant hats decorated with flowers. It was beautiful.

Our theme was a Garden Tea Party. Fortunately, Critti, our best gal and another bridesmaid had a plethora of glass platters, silver stands, lace table cloths and tiered displays for us to use. It was intense.

We had a table full of savory items that we made, including mini quiche, ceasar salad in parmesan fricos, baked brie, fruit salad, spanakopita, tomato bazil mozarella bruschetta, and tea sandwiches (lobster salad, egg salad, chicken salad, cucumber cream cheese!) Holy moly it was a feast.

We also had a separate dessert table for all the sweet treats that I made.  I was up late the night before doing my baking and up bright and early for more baking. I was wiped out.  Sometimes I think I go overboard ;)
(Sorry that some of these photos are a bit blurry. I was running on lots of caffeine, very little sleep, and buckets of excitement.)

Let me break down all the sugary bliss for you :)

mini pink champagne cupcakes

Teeny tiny chocolate eclairs with vanilla pastry cream filling

Decorated lemon sugar cookies

Orange madeleines

 Raspberry and cream scones

Chocolate sandwich cookies with coffee ganache filling

In addition to all the sweets we had a tea station with three kinds of iced tea, iced coffee, and sangria.

Sage was there of course, and she was all smiles.
Kourtney, the bride, was smiley and gorgeous too.
