Happy Birthday, Mom

My Mom shares a birthday with Elvis, David Bowie, Stephen Hawkins and many other lovely people.  It is a special day and she is a special lady. She has a lot to celebrate this year with the arrival of two grandbabies! She is over the moon with happiness and has fallen perfectly into her role as Bubby. 

To wish my mom a happy birthday, I made her some cupcakes and a fun little assortment of cookies that represent some things about her and what she likes.

Woodland Creature Cookies

It has been very chilly around here the past couple of days.  As I spent some time digging out hats, gloves and scarves from the mountain of random stuff in our front closet, I thought about the sweet little critters of the forrest. Naturally, I imagined them wearing hats and scarves to keep warm as the cold front moved through the woods.

Red fox keeps it sassy

 Bird is such a hipster

 Squirrel is just doing his thing

 Baby Deer is always so cute

 Raccoon is happy to keep toasty with the gang

 It is entirely possible that the cold has gone to my brain.
